Bienvenidos a la lectura de verbos en presente, aquí podéis aprender más sobre los verbos en presente.
Lo primero que tenemos que saber es que, en español, los verbos tienen tres conjugaciones diferentes: la primera, la segunda y la tercera. ¡Aquí las tenéis!
- 1ª conjugación: -AR
- 2ª conjugación: -ER
- 3ª conjugación: -IR
La primera conjugación son los verbos que terminan en -AR, la segunda conjugación son los verbos que terminan en -ER y la tercera conjugación son los verbos que terminan en -IR.
Por ejemplo:
1ª conjugación: CANTAR
2ª conjugación: COMER
3ª conjugación: VIVIR
Antes de aprender a conjugar un verbo vamos a analizar la forma del infinitivo:
En el verbo CANTAR tengo -AR, que es la desinencia de la primera conjugación; y tengo CANT– , que es la raíz.
Para conjugar un verbo en español simplemente separo la raíz de la desinencia, elimino la desinencia del infinitivo y pongo la desinencia del tiempo correspondiente, en este caso del presente.
Estas son las desinencias del presente del indicativo correspondientes a cada conjugación.

- Las primeras personas de las tres conjugaciones terminan siempre con la -O
Yo canto, yo como, yo vivo.
- En la primera conjugación, a parte de la primera persona, todas las demás tienen una -A.
- La segunda y la tercera son casi iguales: la -O en la primera persona y en las demás personas una -E (excepto la tercera conjugación que tiene -IMOS, -ÍS, en nosotros y vosotros).
- ¡No os olvidéis de los acentos en la segunda persona del plural: cantáis, coméis, vivís!
Así queda el verbo conjugado en presente:

The first thing we have to know is that, in Spanish, verbs have three different conjugations: the first, the second and the third. Here you have them!

Before learning how to conjugate a verb, we are going to analyze the form of the infinitive:
In the verb SING I have -AR, which is the ending of the first conjugation; and I have CANT– , which is the root.
To conjugate a verb in Spanish, I simply separate the root from the ending, remove the ending from the infinitive and put the ending of the corresponding tense, in this case the present.
These are the present indicative endings corresponding to each conjugation.

The first persons of the three conjugations always end with -O
I sing, I eat, I live.
In the first conjugation, apart from the first person, all the others have an -A.
The second and the third are almost the same: the -O in the first person and in the other persons an -E (except the third conjugation that has -IMOS, -ÍS, in us and you).
Don’t forget the accents in the second person plural: you sing, you eat, you live!
